Life as persons with disabilities is full of challenges. Simple things that we take for granted every day, such as walking, bathing and talking, maybe difficult for these people to do. For some of them, they need a care-giver to help them with these chores. Either born with the disabilities or became one in life through accidents, diseases or other misfortunate events, these people need our help. Why? Because it is the right thing to do.

At Handicaps Welfare Association, we take care of people with disabilities (PWDs). We strive to enable them to lead a normal life and integrate them back into the society. We run programmes and services to achieve this mission, for the last 40 years. Many PWDs have benefited from our work. Besides our own members, about 1,800 of them, we also serve the public and tourists faithfully.

As the cost of our expenses keep rising yearly, we have to source for funds more aggressively. We are a non-profit organization that is a full member of NCSS. We need at least $2.5 million yearly.

Please help us to help PWDs.

Your donation of $1.93 per day (or $58/month) for 12 months can help:

  • Provide a year's groceries supply for a needy family; or
  • Allow a disabled person to attend 14 rehabilitation therapy sessions; or
  • Allow a disabled client take 25 trips on HWA‘s specially equipped vehicles to a dialysis treatment centre; or
  • Provide a two-way trip transport for a disabled student to attend school for 6 months; or
  • Purchase a lightweight wheelchair

Alternatively, you may write a cheque payable to Handicaps Welfare Association.

Please mail your form and/or cheque (with your full particulars, including IC number, for income tax purpose) to:

Your donation (even as little as $58) means so much to us, in our efforts to help people with disabilities. Your generous and caring ways make our country a better place to live in for all. There is a wise saying, "Donating to good causes will not reduce one's wealth but instead, multiply it".

Thank you for your kind donation!
