The Driving Instruction Scheme aims to increase mobility and independence for people with disabilities. Hence, it improves the access to employment, leisure and health facilities. For many people with disabilities, a driving licence will provide an initial opportunity to explore the possibility of owning a car with adaptations and modifications, which will enhance their mobility.
Applicants must be medically certified fit to drive by a medical practitioner by completing a Traffic Police Medical Examination Form prior to enrolment.
