| 01 Jul 2004 | DISABLED CARPARK LABELS NOW AVAILABLE AT AA! |
Currently, the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) and Handicaps Welfare Association (HWA) co-administer the Car Park Label Scheme for People with Disabilities. It involves the issuing of Class 1 labels for drivers with disabilities and Class 2 labels for drivers with disabled family members. From 1 July 2004 onwards, the Automobile Association of Singapore (AA) will take over the administrative role from NCSS. As such, all applications should be made directly to the AA instead of NCSS. Drivers need not be AA members to apply for these labels. However, members of HWA can continue to apply for and renew their Class 1 labels for drivers with disability through HWA. Applicants and existing holders of the Car Park Label for People with Disabilities can be assured that their needs will be well served by AA, which is offering the service from: Automobile Association of Singapore AA Services at Leng Kee 2 Kung Chong Road (off Leng Kee Road).
