(and to all Associate, Honorary, Beneficiary, Founder and Corporate Members)
REMINDER – NOTICE OF 57th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
  1. We wish to inform you that HWA’s 57th AGM is to be held on Sat, 19 Sep 2026 at 1.30pm at the Association’s Charity Activity Room (MPH), 16 Whampoa Drive, Singapore 327725.
  2. AGENDA
    1. Welcome Address by Honorary Secretary and President;
    2. Approve and adopt the minutes of the 56th Annual General Meeting. (This should only be done by the members who were present at the 56th AGM)
    3. To receive, approve and adopt the Annual Report (1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026) and Financial Statement for the period under review [Rule 16 (i)].
    4. To appoint/re-appoint Auditors and Trustees [Rule 16 (i)(d) and Rule 14 (viii) and (ix)].
    5. To transact any other business of which 21 days’ notice in writing has been given under Rule 16 (i) (e) of the Constitution.

    If you wish to raise any matter under item (5) of the Agenda, please write to the Honorary Secretary at least twenty-one days before the AGM (ie 29 Aug 2026). The Executive Committee might not be able to answer any matters raised by members on the day of the AGM if no written submission has been made within the stipulated date. All matters must be duly proposed and seconded in writing.

  3. TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENT
    We are pleased to inform you that free shuttle service will be provided from designated MRT stations for members who are attending the AGM. For your convenience, there will be two shuttle services from the following pick-up points:
    • Novena Square Shopping Centre (at the exit facing Tan Tock Seng Hospital) to HWA’s office at Whampoa from 12.00nn to 12.30pm.
    • Boon Keng MRT Station Exit B (at the exit next to the McDonald’s) to HWA’s office at Whampoa Drive from 12.00nn to 12.30pm.

    Return trips to the respective MRT stations will be arranged after the AGM.

  4. If you have difficulty in using public transport and wish to use the dial-a-ride service, you can make a booking by phone, at least 4 working days in advance (ie by 15 Sep 2026), with Ms Regina Lim/ Ms Karen Lai at 62543006. Dial-a-ride service is chargeable at a special rate of $10 for a two-way trip.
  5. Lunch will be provided from 12.30pm to 1.30pm at the AGM venue. If you are attending the Meeting, please register your name with Mr Dexter Goh/Ms Rinawati at 62543006 by Friday, 11 September 2026, 5pm.

第57届常年大会提醒通知信

  1. 我谨此通知所有会员，本协会将于 2026年9月19日（星期六）下午1点30分，在残疾人士福利协会礼堂（地址：16号黄埔道，新加坡邮区327725）召开第57届常年大会。
  2. 会议议程
    1. 荣誉秘书长，会长致辞。
    2. 批准及采纳第56届常年大会纪录（只有出席了第56届常年大会的会员才可执行此项议程）
    3. 听取，批准及采纳2025/2026年度报告和财政报告 (为期从2025年4月1日至2026年3月31日止) [条规 16(i)]。
    4. 委任审计员和信托委员会 [条规16 (i)(d) 和 14 (viii) & (ix)]。
    5. 讨论其他由会员根据协会章程条规16(i)(e)于大会召开前21天内书面提呈的其他事务。

    会员们若有意根据议程第5项提出任何讨论事项，必须在常年大会召开前21天 (即 2026年8月29日前) 以书面形式通知协会荣誉秘书长。所有事项都要有会员书面提议和复议。执行委员会将不会讨论任何会员未在规定时间范围内书面提交的事项。会员们可以邮寄事项书到协会地址或电邮至邮箱 agm@hwa.org.sg。

  3. 载送服务
    我很高兴地通知各位会员，协会将在以下两个地点为参加常年大会的会员安排往返协会会所的免费交通载送服务：
    • 诺维纳购物中心（面对陈笃生医院的出口处）到残疾人士福利协会。时间：中午12时至12时30分。
    • 文庆地铁站出口B（靠近麦当劳的出口处）到残疾人士福利协会。时间：中午12时至12时30分。

    协会也将在大会结束后提供回程载送服务回返以上两个地铁站。

  4. 如果您不方便搭乘公共交通工具，可使用本协会提供的电话预定载送服务。但是碍于可载送人数有限，请在常年大会召开4天前 (即 2026年9月15日前) 致电 62543006 向林小姐 (Regina Lim) 或黎小姐 (Karen Lai) 预约。电话预订载送服务提供优惠的收费：$10（来回）。
  5. 如果您有意出席常年大会, 请在 2026年9月11日之前 致电 62543006 向 Dexter Goh / Rinawati 报名。大会将从下午12点30分开始提供自助午餐。
  6. 衷心期待您的参与并期待与您在常年大会上相见。
