Our Dear Donors,

It has been a year since I last wrote to you to support HWA’s cause. I looked back with a grateful heart because 2023 has been tough with higher cost of living and new waves of Covid-19, yet we have also made some progress.
HWA now has an Senior Day-Care Centre while continuing its existing services to meet the increasing needs of Persons with Physical Disability (PWDs) and the Elderly. I work full-time at HWA while my husband Lim Tow Kin is able to continue with HWA’s subsidised rehabilitation with other beneficiaries to maintain their muscle function. Exercising together makes all of them very happy and provides relief to their caregivers.

To ensure the continued operation of HWA programs and services, HWA will be having the 40th Wheel, Walk, or Jog & Family Carnival once again on Saturday, 27 April 2024, at the Singapore Sports Hub – OCBC Square – to raise funds and to create awareness of HWA’s mission to serve the community for it. It will be a physical event like the one in 2023 this year. I, together with all HWA beneficiaries invite you to be part of this event by contributing to our cause through:  

i) Sponsoring a WWJ Wheelchair Ride Bannerrette (WCB) or Direct Donation

ii) Donating through Giving.sg portal

Your ongoing contribution will strengthen support HWA programmes and services which includes Transport, Home Care, Rehabilitation, Elderly Senior Day Care and Social Services. Every support counts, not only for PWDs & the Elderly but also for the caregivers out there who have been working tirelessly.
