Medical Talk – Essential Caregiving Skills

Living with a person with special needs can be very challenging.

Do you  know how to provide proper care for your loved one who may be physically challenged or frail?

Do you know how to protect yourself as a caregiver?

HWA is planning a series of caregiver talks for our members and to the public.

Basic skills to assist in various ADLs like transferring, mobilizing, washing, dressing ,feeding, toileting, etc. are included. Additional skills such as hygiene, reducing pressure sores and falls etc. will also be covered

Details of following sessions (conducted by Dr Siow Woei Yun, HWA Honorary Medical Advisor @ HWA Multi-Purpose Hall);

  • 1st Session: June 30, 2018. Saturday @ 9:30 am to 12:30 noon)
  • 2nd Session: July 28, 2018. Saturday @ 9:30 am to 12:30 noon)

Shuttle service from Novena MRT to HWA Whampoa will be provided.
